Summer Reading

Dear LCS Families,

During the summer, each student is required to read and complete specific literacy activities requested by their next teacher. These activities are meant to encourage our students to continue reading, thinking, and writing while using literacy skills they’ve learned over the past school year. The summer reading requirements will give them a head start in the upcoming school year.

Students who complete the summer literacy requirement may also choose to participate in a fun activity at the beginning of the school year if they continue to spend time reading during the summer months.

Please click on the link below titled, “LCS Summer Reading Incentive” for more information.
Click on one of the links below to find the information needed for the required literacy activity. (You will need to choose the link of the grade your child will be entering.) We strongly recommend you encourage your child to also take part in the LCS Summer Reading Incentive. They will really enjoy their reward! Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact our school office at (302) 732-3309. Thank you for your support and we hope that your family’s summer is enjoyable and greatly blessed.
